One of the better editors out there. If one knows vim they can use this version. Though limited only by the underlining Android OS this is still a great way to get your VIM on while mobile. Can be paired with Cloud Console or Termux for a full feature experence. Also, all vim commands seem to work so for the users who don't know how to use :colorscheme that's how you configure themes.

Great for editing, especially code! Excellent app.

Was expecting a compromised version of vim but got a version that wonderfully adapts itself to the Android environment (with & without a physical keyboard) plus adds shell features.

only have it for 10 minutes, but this looks like the real thing. but I don't see a cursor. also, when I opened ~/.vimrc to do some settings, I got a warning that later android versions might prohibit writing the system part of the filesystem, and I should read the help for vimfiles. a native app should have a proper location preconfigured, like the windows ports do with their _vimrc in the Userprofile.

Including my own personal experience with application. Good stuff

Amazing app. It's Open Source too! All I wanted was simple text editor functionality on my phone. Something to read utf8 and txt files and edit them. This is the only modern Android 11/12 app I've found that does this in a sane way. Moreover it finds a happy medium between touchscreen editing and vim keybindings, making my laptop/phone workflow just a bit more seemless. Will have to see if this holds up to a few days of use, but first blush is quite romantic.

Pretty, but major problems. Zooming isn't smooth and screen width isn't respected.

G collette

It just works.

it does what its supposed to do, but the extra keys, etc arent the best - i prefer just using termux.
